Under Armour “Best of the Best” Basketball Camp

The Under Armour “Best of the Best” Basketball Camp had a remarkable weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was held August 7th and 8th at prestigious Marist High School. The camp had 130 middle school participants, with kids from various US cities including, Milwaukee, WI , Washington, DC., Philadelphia, PA, Knoxville, TN, Lexington, KY, Albany, GA, and The Villages, Florida.


The pool of talent was amazing, the players were so competitive as observed from the start of the camp mastering the skill and drills stations through the end of the camp during the championship games.


Walking into the gymnasium, it was astonishing to witness, the size and speed of some of these middle school talents. A few notables to mention among the participants were: Amari Allen, 6’6 Guard, Milwaukee, WI, Bryson Tiller, 6’8 Forward, Atlanta, GA, RJ Williams, 5’10 Point Guard, Atlanta, GA, Kairen Rogers, 6’10 Center, Milwaukee, WI, Felix Gonzalez 6’6 , Wing, Dominican Republic, Shane Cherry , 5’11 Guard, Knoxville, TN and Caleb Wilson 6’7 of Atlanta, GA.


The camp’s staff featured Mr. Hanif Hill from Washington, DC current trainer to NBA great Kevin Durant and Kierre Jordan, “Kee-the-Trainer,” trainer to NBA’s Brandon Ingram and rookie sensation Anthony “Antman” Edwards. A host of former college players assisted with coaching the players during the camp: Andre Malone, Auburn, University, Robert Carter Jr., GA Tech/ University of Maryland, Noel Johnson, Auburn University/ Clemson University, Doc Martin, University of Alabama, Derrick Stroud, and Austin Sherrell.

Camp MVP went to Bryson Tiller and the Co MVP’s were Amari Allen 6’6 wing and Shane Cherry.


Camp Director, Winfred Jordan, is quoted saying, “Best of the Best Basketball Camp 2021, hosted some of the country’s finest, future basketball greats and we are happy to play a part in their development and looking forward to following their progress.
